Each year, the dean recognizes outstanding performance by staff through four different awards. Nominations are accepted and reviewed by the dean. We ask that nominations provide specific examples that demonstrate how the candidate exemplifies the award criteria. Criteria for each of the awards may be found below:

Dean’s Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Student Experience

This is awarded to staff who have had a significant positive effect on the student experience due to either a singular achievement or sustained effort. Recipients of this award are in roles with direct student interaction or impact whose actions have created meaningful, memorable, or formative experiences for students, and overall contributing to their success here at Questrom, and beyond.

Dean’s Award for Outstanding Contributions to Operational Excellence

Awarded to staff who have had a significant positive impact on the operational and/or non-student facing function due to either singular achievement or sustained effort. Recipients of this award are in roles that support internal staff and faculty stakeholders or work in areas that keep business functions of the school running smoothly and efficiently, and ultimately contributing to the improvement of operational excellence.

Dean’s Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Questrom Culture

Awarded to staff who go beyond the day-to-day function of their role to create a positive and inclusive experience for Questrom staff, faculty, and students, be that within their team or the school overall. Recipients of this award create or influence spaces that provide a welcoming environment that allow stakeholders to feel a sense of belonging. These staff members, either through singular acts or on-going efforts, ensure those they encounter feel heard, supported, and important.

Dean’s Award for Outstanding Contributions by a Rookie

This award recognizes the efforts and contributions of a staff member and their ability to make a strong positive impact within their first year at Questrom.
